01 — THE PROBLEM
You've already tried a cheap pair. It either did nothing, or it turned your screen yellow.
Most blue-light glasses are a coin flip — coatings that fade, or filters strong enough to wreck your colour work. We measured ours so you don't have to guess.
02 — THE MECHANISM
THE FILTER IS BUILT INTO THE LENS. NOT PAINTED ON TOP OF IT.
Many blue-light lenses rely primarily on a surface treatment for their filtration. With CLÆR SPECTRUM™, the blue-violet filtering properties are incorporated into the optical lens material during manufacturing rather than relying only on a surface coating.
03 — THE LENS
The CLÆR SPECTRUM™ Lens
Japanese optical-grade material, engineered for screens, tested to international standards.
SURFACE TREATMENT
SHMC
Multi-layer anti-reflective treatment designed to reduce surface reflections, resist smudges and protect the lens surface.
BLUE-VIOLET FILTERED
~55%
Approximately 55% average filtration across the tested 400–450 nm range, with the strongest filtration at the shortest wavelengths.
LENS MATERIAL
Japanese
Optical-grade material with the filter engineered through it, not coated on top.
UV PROTECTION
UV400
0.00% UVA/UVB transmittance, tested.
380nm
400–450nm filtered
780nm
Tested to ISO 12312-1 and ANSI Z80.3. Not estimated.
04 — THE PROOF
THIS IS THE ACTUAL LENS. TESTED, NOT ESTIMATED.
Shaded area = transmittance suppressed below baseline. Real curve, plotted from raw lab data at 5nm intervals.
WHY THE CURVE, NOT A SINGLE NUMBER
Most brands quote one wavelength. We're showing the full 380–780nm range so you can see exactly where filtration happens — and where it doesn't.
ENGINEERED TAPER, NOT A HARD CUT
The curve climbs deliberately from 400nm to 450nm — strongest at the lowest wavelength in the tested blue-violet range, easing off exactly where colour accuracy matters.
VERIFIED, NOT MARKETING COPY
Every value on this chart comes directly from an lab report — not an internal estimate.

06 — WHAT THIS MEANS
WHERE IT MATTERS MOST
Strongest filtration sits right at 400nm — lowest blue-violet wavelength in the tested range
ENGINEERED, NOT ACCIDENTAL
The filter is precisely tuned to ease off through 420–450nm — exactly the curve real colour work needs.
NATURAL-LOOKING SCREEN COLOUR
As the wavelength increases, the lens allows progressively more visible light through, helping avoid the heavy yellow cast.
