To choose blue light glasses as a gift, first check that non-prescription lenses suit the recipient, then compare frame shape, colour and size with what they already enjoy wearing. Before ordering, check the delivery estimate and when the return window will end.
Glasses become part of someone’s everyday style. The pair they reach for should feel like them, whether it sits beside a laptop in a creative studio or slips into a bag between meetings. This guide brings together the details that make choosing more personal.
Are blue light glasses a good gift?
They can be a thoughtful choice for someone who enjoys eyewear and has a screen-heavy routine. Their interest in wearing glasses matters as much as the hours they spend at a desk. Look at the shapes and colours of their existing glasses, sunglasses and accessories for clues.
PROJECT CLÆR glasses come with non-prescription lenses. You do not need a prescription to order them, but they do not provide prescription correction. If the recipient needs prescription glasses, check what they want before buying. These lenses will not replace their prescription pair.
Choose a frame shape and colour to match their style
Start with their own preferences. Angular frames give a different impression from rounded ones, while a translucent colour can change how strongly the frame stands out. Choose the shape first, then compare its colour options.
NORD
A structured, angular silhouette. A considered starting point for someone who likes clean lines and a more defined frame.
Smoke or Umber.
Pictured in Smoke.
SOL
A softly rounded silhouette. Consider SOL for someone drawn to curved shapes and a lighter visual presence.
Clear or Dawn.
Pictured in Dawn.

How to choose the right glasses size as a gift
A pair they already find comfortable is a useful starting point. Look inside the arm for three numbers. These usually describe the lens width, bridge width and temple length, in millimetres.
| Frame | Lens width | Bridge | Temple |
|---|---|---|---|
| NORD | 50 | 19 | 145 |
| SOL | 49 | 21 | 145 |
| VERA | 51 | 18 | 145 |
For example, 50–19–145 means a 50 mm lens width, 19 mm bridge and 145 mm temple length. These numbers do not describe the total frame width or guarantee the same fit: the shape and construction matter too.
If you cannot check their size or preferences, choose together. Send them a link to the frame you have in mind and let them explore the colours before you order.
What should you look for in the lenses?
Alongside the frame, consider how the lenses look when worn and when viewing a screen. A visibly tinted lens may change the appearance of colours, which is especially relevant if the recipient works with design, photography or video.
NORD, SOL and VERA all use the same CLÆR SPECTRUM™ non-prescription lenses, designed to selectively filter blue-violet light while keeping screen colours natural-looking. You can choose between the three frames by style and fit. Read our guide to blue light glasses and screen colours for more detail.
What comes with PROJECT CLÆR glasses?
Each pair includes a machined aluminium tube, suede pouch, microfibre cloth and THE CLÆR PROTOCOL™ card. The tube and accessories are part of the standard presentation and can be used after the gift is opened.
A separate gift-wrapping service is not offered.
Check gift delivery and returns before ordering
Can I send the glasses directly to the recipient?
Yes. Enter their delivery address at checkout. Check the shipping estimates for their destination and allow for processing as well as delivery. These are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates.
What if the gift is not right for them?
Eligible change-of-mind returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery. The glasses must be unworn and unused beyond normal inspection, with their original packaging and accessories. Customers pay change-of-mind return postage; direct exchanges are not offered. Read the full returns policy before ordering.
The 30-day return window starts when the order is delivered, rather than when the gift is opened. If you are buying ahead of a birthday or holiday, check whether that leaves the recipient time to decide.
